SOFT BOTTOMED MUKLUKS
Polar Bear Fur, Sealskin, Moose Leather, White Walrus Ivory, Blue Sunburst Fossilized Walrus Ivory, Mouton Wool.
This gorgeous pair of mukluks is completely lined with mouton wool.
“Mouton fur is lambskin whose hair has been straightened, chemically treated, and thermally set to produce a moisture-repellent finish. Mouton is often dyed brown to resemble beaver,”
The exterior of these mukluks consists of gorgeous ringed sealskin pelt, polar bear fur trim with sealskin fringe accents and handcarved walrus ivories.
The white walrus ivories on top were from a tusk gifted to me by my mother, and the dark blue sunburst fossilized walrus ivories on bottom are from the most rare material I have in my possession.
These are soft bottomed mukluks/slippers, and the bottoms and tops are made from 4.5oz (ish) nappa grain Moose hide.
I completely hand stitched these with so much love and excitement, it was incredibly joyful to watch my plan for these come to fruition.
